Photographer’s Note

This is the very first picture I took on my trip to Central Anatolia. As I always say, there's a decicisive moment when you drive, and your eyes keep scanning around for pretty sights. So this was my first irrestible stop. There are many old ottoman houses in Turkey, but most of them are not well preserved and crumble. Recently there have been a trend to restore and save what is left. But these look rather like new houses in teh old style, and for me they don't have the attraction of the well preserved
houses. This one was taken near Bilecik.
