Photographer’s Note
Yesterday afternoon was cloudy and very cold in Istanbul ; just by chance, I saw in the streets of Balat neighbourhood a TV film crew turning various sequences in the streets : there were plenty of neighbours watching the scene from the windows (some of them here, with another scene), kids of course keen to observe what was going on ; the road was not closed to traffic and the acting had very often to be interrupted due to the passing of a black stray dog that always intruded, motorbikes, cars or trucks, and in this case, by a simple vegetable seller who was a bit intimidated and who amused the actresses (the 2 persons on the right).
I was told that the title of the film will be "Hakkini Helal Et", by Samanyolu TV, with Naclu Nazir and Mürsit Bag, please correct me if I wrote this with mistakes !
(Added later, about the same movie : this, this and that scene...)

Hi Catherine,
nice photo, love the colors and the composition. The clothes on the clothesline between the buildings.
Well done.

Selam dear Cath !
Wonderfull capture from Balat. This is the pure reality of this part of the city. Very typical for many central Anatolian cities but mid'st of İstanbul ! A metropol with more than 17 million inhabitants ! That's life.
Very well seen and composed. Balat and Fener is really a treasure chest. From November onwards untill end of May every Wednesday a group of my friends we are strolling through different parts of old İstanbul. I wished I could be able to guide you through "hidden" treasures of my town. There are so many interesting spots !
Congs for this nice entry and eline, gözüne ve gönlüne sağlık
Best regards

Salut, Cath.
Une scène de rue très complète, nous avons le droit "à tout" même au linge qui sèche :oO. Bon boulot, comme d'habitude chez toi.
Amicalement, Grazyna.

Hi Catherine, nice photo with good city street atmosphere for this TV movie. It is very unusual shot.

Yeahh!
Was a hard day for you indeed. And you did it well, getting lost in the depths of Istanbul for hours, and on your own. Btw, I forgot asking, did you go to kıraathane? :)))
ps: the title should be "Hakkini Helal Et", instead of "Hakkini Halat Et". I suppose... :)))

Hi Catherine,
I was wondering at first what the scene is all about especially those two men holding some white boards ... your notes cleared this up. Very sharp image here and good color quality. Interesting documentation of film making ... quite different from what we actually see in the screen. This must be a low budget film judging from the improvised gadgets they are using. Well seen and captured. Well done! tfs

Salut Catherine,
Une autre scène de cinéma dans la rue cette fois, non pas Indien mais Turc! On ne discerne pas bien qui sont les simples passants et qui fait partie de la troupe! Bon cadrage et couleurs réalistes

Bonsoir, mon amie Catherine,

Pierre
