Zelal and her loving cat Photo

Photographer’s Note

A beautiful, long legged cat ; nobody was paying much attention to him in the house, but he was very close to Zelal, the little girl.

She was really day dreaming that morning, because her cat moved a lot around her, trying to attract her attention and her love, but her face expression did not move at all : have a look at these 2 other photos, one that I posted today on Treklens (here) and here too, in the WS...

Tu as saisi un moment tellement simple et naturel, et pourtant...pas si facile à saisir que ça...les chats ne viennent pas poser à la demande, et ne se frottent pas contre les humains quand on s'y attend forcément...Un excellent timing donc, un moment parfait...décisif...

Yes, she seems to be daydreaming, her expression is fascinating! How old is Zelal?

Concerning the photo, it´s a wonderful composition of "cold" colors; the girls skin tones are the only "warm" element in the picture.

Well done!

Oh, I forgot: Is this their house cat, or a straying one? I guess, they keep him to catch mice!?

... and now I also had a look at the Workshop ... whilst the original version is very lovely, the WS is funny (the very different expressions on the face of the cat and the face of the girl ...)

le cadrage est bien vu et montre bien qu'elle est au pas d'une porte, la scène est adorable, le chat qui vient se frotter... et la fillette fait une jolie bouille

Hi Catherine,
I like her sweet expression here and the way the cat is giving her so much love. She is nicely placed in relation to the doorway and the image has good sharpness. For a minute I thought that my cat has been on holiday to Turkey as her markings are almost identical to this one.
