Seen here is the central part of Palandöken Mountain from my new school. Apparently, it is one of Europe's premier ski resorts, but is not all that well known. More information available from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paland%C3%B6ken_Mountain
It's 3,271 m (10,732 ft) high, and there was 105 cm of snow the previous night. (Monday night early Tuesday morning).

The succession of buildings is leading my eye toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the buildings. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Il y a quelque chose de très spécial dans la netteté de cette image. On dirait presque le tout en trois dimensions. Les couleurs pastels sont très belles confrontées au blanc pur de la neige.

a striking shot this, one does not associate high rise with an Alpine setting. Love the pastel colour contrasts against the whhite and blue bg. A fascinating mix of lines and elements that works perfectly. Like it a lot!
Regards - Brian.

Hello Chris - I had to look up your location on Google Earth as I really had no idea where it was. Looks like a fascinating place and an area of great beauty and historical significance. The snow covered mountains make a lovely backdrop for these uniform buildings. We saw similar ones on a trip to Turkey and like these they were individualised through their pastel colours. A nice clean shot with good colour and clarity... the joys of crisp clean air and altitude! Warm regards rosemary

Une très belle lumière, sur les bâtiments et les sommets enneigés, qui rend cette photo très attirante. Tu as vraiment une très belle vue depuis ton nouveau lieu de travail!

again, this is really cool to see the real life daily life and architecture or Turkey - in canada i bet most people wouldn't have a clue what it looks like here.
Its one of the best reasons why i enjoy TE so much, learning about the world through photography.
interesting to see the ski resort in the bg too.
crisp and cool shot Chris

Marvellous sharpness and excellent retention of detail in the snow. The shot makes good use of the pastel colours of the buildings and the contrasting bare trees as verticals. Nicely done.

Really a change of climate:))! Are you enjoying it?
You have a very good pov from your new school. I like the composition with the benches in foreground and white mountains in background. Colours are very good!
