A new day, a photo from Erzurum, East Anatolia

7:27 am in Erzurum, eastern Turkey. Not a fun way to start the day if you're driving. I catch the bus to school. I liked the subtle warm cold colour contrast here between the blue sky & yellow & salmon pink apartment blocks.

Hi Chris,

THe distance between the cars and the mountain is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showin g the details and colors of the buildings. The colors of the buildings is contrasting well with the colors of the snow. Have a nice day.

Un intéressant moment décisif mais j'aurais bien aimé voir une vue plus serrée sur les bâtiments colorés en arrière plan sur fond de montagne enneigée.

Erzurum is quite a cold place in winter, I can remember that! The scene is not spectacular, but there are pleasant delicate colours on the buildings and sky.

Merhaba Chris Bey,

The pastel colors and the dominant white go together well. But... you are a brave man to live in Erzurum during the winter! I don't think the intense cold of Erzurum is seen neither in Korea nor in China. Waiting for a bus... I was in Erzurum only once, in August of 1984 while preparing to go to Dogu Beyazit, and then to ascend Agri Dag.

I was amazed to see so much snow in Turkey this year. Beautiful image depicting the situation but the sky is a good bonus.
