Photographer’s Note

According to Jeppo's dictionary "cattled tourists" are those tourists forced to travel all together in air conditioned superluxuous busses....taken from a place to the other....having few time for their own to enjoy monuments or sights...since they have to run to the next shop or restaurant as for the scheduled by their tour operator
cattled tourists have therefore no time to interact with locals, few opportunities to try local food or get in touch with the very essence of the country they are visiting

A great example of "damages" caused by "cattled tourism" can be seen in Cappadocia.
It's a pity to reach this wonderful region...and just get out from the bus, take a couple of shots from a viewpoint and then move to the carpet shop....

A great different vay to enjoy Cappadocia is to have a trek across the 3 valleys: the red, the white and the yellow one!
you can just go up and down among these particular rock formation, discover the wineyards or see the cave churches without experiencing masses of tourists....and also enjoy a "emla cay" (Apple tea) under a fruit tree....

My other pictures from this wonderful region are available here
