This is another photo from my 2005 Cappadocia visit.
I hope you like it:)

Uchisar is a troglodyte village situated 4 km east of Goreme. It is famous for the huge rock formation once used as a fortification. This extraordinary rock is the highest peak in the region and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the whole of Cappadocia with Mt. Erciyes in the distance.
The Citadel, carved out and tunnelled by the cave-dwellers of the past, and concealed from view and used for defence purposes, has now been destroyed by erosion, revealing the inner honeycombed architecture. A secret tunnel from the castle to the river bed 100 m below, hewn out in order to provide the water supply in the event of siege, has been recently discovered.
In the Pigeon Valley in the south of Uchisar there are the best example of the pigeon-houses in Cappadocia.

It is definitely a very good picture. The place looks amazing with all the caves and houses built on it. The only thing not very nice is that white container by the road but, it is not your fault. The flag shows well that the rock outcrop is quite high. Good saturated colours as well. I love it.

Hi CT, what an interesting rock formation. What an incredible amount of work that must have been to tunnel this out. It is a good shot on your part. The colour and detail are very good. I especially like that flag up on top contrasting against that blue sky.

Kapadokya'dan hoş bir görünüm daha... Göğün mavisi ve kayaların detayları nefis... Not da.

Işığın etkisi altında detaylar harika. Mavi gökyüzünde dalgalanan Şanlı Bayrağımız çok hoşuma gitti. Ellerine sağlık...

very well captured and nicely framed shot of this impressive rock formation and the troglodyte houses in it. You amnaged very well the harsh light and did well to include the branches, in order to balance the pic perfectly. Well done, my Friend!
Tfs and have a great weekend!

For some reason my eyes first fell on the red flag on top!

Have a nice day,

Favorim olan bir mekan... Son derece net ve mekanın özelliklerini çok iyi gösteren bir kare... Kontrast biraz yüksek olmakla birlikte rahatsız etmiyor hatta ayrıntıları daha bir belirginleştiriyor...

Wonderful detail and framing: I especially like the contrast of the red rock against that blue sky.
