Photographers Note
This is the 41st photograph from my trip to Turkey.
This trekking/holidays lasted 3 weeks and its route includes the most famous and interesting places in Turkey:
Istanbul - Izmir - Selcuk - Efez - Dilek National Park - Pammukale - Fethiye - Saklikent Gorge - Olu Deniz - Antalya - Termessos - KAPPADOCIA - Istanbul.

The last stop of our trip was Cappadocia and its amazing valleys and rock forms which are world famous atractions.
We arrived to Goreme at 4.00am after quite long trip from Antalya. However by the way we already noticed amazing rocky formations we decided to have a quick look into the nearest valley. Luckily we managed to get there a few minutes before sunrise so I had enough time to set up the camera on the tripod and find some interesting details to use them as a foreground. The biggest obstacle was to balance the exposure as the October sun is still very bright and the valley was in shadows of the twilight. So after a several attempts the results were better and better while the valley was getting lit by morning sunshine. The view was incredible specially when loads of ballons started appearing on the horizon.
This very early morning view is including both specific attractions of Cappadocia: nature and architecture. In the foreground you can see some rocky formations and Uçhisar in the background. Colours on this picture may seem to be unreal but don`t forget it was just after the sunrise. The light was more than gold :-)
The natural rock citadel of Uçhisar which you can see in the very back is the tallest point in Cappadocia, visible for a great distance from the region's other towns such as Ürgüp and Avanos. This shot was taken from the same place as my 2 last posts, from the top of Goreme so as you see the popular backpacker base of Göreme Town is a short distance from Uçhisar. You will find there hotels, inns, rental houses and pensions, some of them with cave rooms, but the main reason visitors go there is to climb to the top of the tall rock outcrop via tunnels and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view, the best view of Cappadocia except for that which you get from a hot-air balloon.
Taken with 10d and tele photo lens (200mm x 1,6).
Hope you like it!

Hello,
certainly a splendid light and a very good and interesting sight. (However, I am not sure, but maybe the whole scene is somewhat leaning to the left - though it could just be an illusion.)
Otherwise a really nice photo.
Best regards

Hi Patryk.
In my opinion, you should crop a little the bottom of the picture.
Anyway, an excellent view!

Hi Patryk,
Very interesting photo, it looks like the houses have grown up from the rocks. I especially like this front cadre where nature made interesting formation. Is this place abandoned?
Very best from Gordana.

Once more a very interesting one: the village on the top of the hill looks like hanging from the rock. The light enhances it and its position. The point of view is excellent.
Well done. Thanks for sharing
