Uchisar is close to Göreme the touristic center of cappadokia.
Here are living more than 1000 people,most of them doing agriculture or run little pensions.
The big rock in the center is called Uchisar castle".
Till to the 60ties many people lived there in carved homes.
Uçhisar liegt im Zentrum von Kappadokien mit der gleichnamigen Burg als höchster Bodenerhebung im Gebiet. Von hier aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Uçhisar-Tal und die Umgebung. Wann die Erstbesiedlung stattgefunden hat, ist unbekannt. Die Zugänge zu den einzelnen Räumen können genau wie in den unterirdischen Städten in den meisten Fällen mit einer grossen Steinscheibe verschlossen werden. Auffallend an der Burg sind ihre vielen, jedoch heute überwiegend eingefallenen Stockwerke. Einige Feenkamine im Norden, Westen und Süden der Burg sind von den Römern ausgehöhlt und als Grabkammern benutzt worden.

A very nice view of this part of turkey

great photo of a great landscape, with the typical rock formations, trademark of Cappadokia.
In the large version we can appreciate good natural colours and great sharpness.
Only a little personal opinion: the sky isn't so interesting to deserve such a large area. Maybe a little crop in the sky would be better.

Hello Leo,

With your panoramic format, you've managed to present the majesty of Üçhisar. I expected to see a remark like stitched together from five or ten separate images. I am happy this is just one shot with one setting, but using a tripod. The large version is spectacular.

Hi Leo,
I rode a bike from Goreme to here last winter and took lots of photos along the way, but nothing even remotely as good as this! I think what seems to set this photo apart is the great wide view and the fact you've captured 2 different roads which makes it feel really expansive. Excellent quality, a fine photo.

Hallo Andreas,
tolles Panoramabild von dieser kleinen Stadt in herrlicher Umgebung.
Diese Landschaft mit den vielen kleinen Hügeln ist wirklich ausserordentlich reizvoll. Das Licht und die Farben sind klasse. Dein Aufnahmestandort gefällt mir sehr gut mit der in die Stadt hineinführenden Kurve. Auch die etwas dunklere S-Kurve rechts im Bild ist ein schönes Detail. Klasse Bildkomposition.

Beautiful view! In this one, you show both these very typical place of Capadocia. But I like that you show the way they are perfectly integrated together with modern constructions.
I like the way the main road leads the eye to the village. The sky was superb!
Another great shot, you should propose your photos to promote this region!

Hello Andreas,

another wonderful panoramic view of Cappadokia, another fine gift for our eyes. The light is ideal, with a blue sky that contrasts with the houses and terrain. The exposition is perfect with the shades readible as well as the the lights.
