Photographers Note
Cappadocia is also called the land of the fairy chinneys. A place with an awesome beauty, oll over the year. A sacred place for photographers
who seek natural beauties, also a land rich with history. The patterns which are seen in this pictures are the result of erosion on a
volcanic soil. After a snowfall, on sunny days white and chocolate tones form exquisite designs. I was trying to capture them when this guy and his camels appeared pn the tiny slope. Lucky enough that my camera was not at it's last exposure..

beautiful izzet.. really
at the first glance this reminds of this photograph by mccurry, primarily because of the life on snow.
but then i feel that while your photograph is more skewed towards the aethetic content, mcurry's photograph is more soulful than beautiful, while yours has the camel, his has the prayer flags..
so it's a little difficult to compare the 2 actually... the only advantage that i find in his photograph is the mood and the atmosphere. while yours is nice and sunny, an amazing travel photograph.. his captures something that is beyond the surface. i guess you might know what i mean here, since you might have clicked some of those soulful photographs yourself
this is not to say that your photograph is not good. it's really great, i'm just saying that while at first impression i was tempted to compare the 2 photographs, now i have to restrain myself from doing so .. since the objectives seem to be entirely different
i love the kodak vs
take care :)

I really like this photo and your note is good too.
This area is more often associated with summer photos so it's nice to see Cappadocia in the snow for a different perspective on this beautiful area of Turkey. The camels look so out of place like they don't belong in the picture.
The composition is good and I love the colours, especially the mix of white and brown on the hills and the strong blue shadows in the snow.
Great photo, thanks for posting it!

Hi Izzet
Superb graphism of dark & light. The man & 2 camels add perspective & scale. The fairy chimneys do indeed look like chocolate, under the right lighting, as it is here. Excellent sharpness & color.

Pour moi, le charme de cette photo vient de la combinaison d'un paysage extraordinaire et de personnages typiques.
Bravo Izzet.

Hey, hello, nice pictures you make, izzet, first, my eye got caught by the Vermont pix, then I went to see your others, this one is really nice, I like the dots and spots on the mountain, and it is even more exotic because of the camels and not the usual dunkeys.

WOW !!! This is one of the best pictures I've ever seen on TE. The white / brown / blue contrast is just incredible, as well as the structure of the rocks. Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture !

The thumbnail was too tempting. It look like a closeup of a sundane. Whipped cream and chocolate :). Good shot.

Hi Izzet,
I discover your picture from the TE homepage favourites' posting, and I can't resist to add my enthusiastic comments to your fabulous image. It tells the story of man's hardship, of animals'hardship too, mixed with the beauty of the world. The composition is wonderful, with the walking line going up in a diagonale. The colours are pure oxygen to my eyes! Well done, bravo! Cheers, --amz

Wow, such and unusual shot! The camels in the snow is striking image, one that I'm sure that I've never seen before. Wonderful patterns too, really different and exciting, with the snow on the red hills. Superb!
