Yazilikaya is a wonderful archeological place. Impressive ruins from this Hittites period are still visible. This quietful place is a pleasure for the eyes.

Salut Patrick ,
Bienvenue sur TE . Même si on ne voit pas beaucoup les ruines ;) , l'image est superbe , parfaitement composée , avec le chemin de bois à droite , et surtout une magnifique lumière qui réchauffe les couleurs dorées des belles fprmatiosn rocheuses ;
L'image est un peu floue sur la gauche , mais j'avais aussi parfois ce problème avec un petit coolpix P50 .

I really like the walkway perspective. The rich colors of the dessert and wall of rock ahead. Great composition. The day looks like it could be hot ... the path I am not sure where it goes. It is a pleasure for the eyes.
Thanks for sharing (TFS) and welcome to TE. We try our best to help each other, give support and insightful comments, encourage each other to do our best here. This is a great start.

Good morning Patrick and welcome to TE !
Lovely golden colour which you caught on these stone formations ! Which part of the day was it if I may ask ?
Great contrast with the grey blue sky.
I believe the Hittites carved buildings in the stone formations, in the second millenium BC. How incredible !
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more photos.

The light is delicious here! You have also used the wooden plank path to lead me into the picture. I did not know much about this place...I did a wiki to find out. Very well done picture. If I have to nitpick, I cannot help but wonder why the left side of the picture is so blurry...its almost like you used shift-lens technique or lens baby to create a blur. I don't know whether this is interntional or something with your camera. Ideally for such a landscape scene, you could have used a narrower aperture, more in the tune or 8 or lower

Fine view with the wood ties pathyway leading into Nature's geology and hidden Hittite ruins, all in golden lighting and good resolution.
Nicely composed and created,

I do not believe I have seen these ruins yet. Thank you for teaching me something about my homeland. And may I add that you have done so with great finesse. You captured the evening colors very effectively. I like your composition with the path and the fence leading the viewer's eyes to the distant rocks.
PS. Looking at Marie Louise's note, I realized you are quite fresh on TE. Welcome! I joined in January, so I am not an old-timer, either. I am having a blast on this site, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am. One word of caution: sometimes the admins may be strict, do not lose heart - the friends you make on this site are well worth the occasional frustration.

Ciao e buona serata

Very nice picturesque composition! This is really good experience to visit some remote places far from the tourist roads. Marvelous colors, fine details.
Greetings from NYC!
