Photographers Note
It looks like a simple wall of an old house, but there is a hidden message in it.
İt's the wall of an old wooden house, most probably around 150 years.
The left part of the wall is been repaired with a modern plaster, containing cement, sand and water.
Whereas the right part is still the original. It was called Horasan, and came to Turkey as a building technique in late 13th century from Central Asia and was been used in many buildings untill end of 19th century. It's a mixture of chalk, dried hay, mud, water and eggwhite. With this mixture the walls of those old houses was been covered. Specially in regions with high risk of earthquake it was very popular, as it gave a certain flexibility to the wall and helped to avoide cracks.
On WS you can see another similar wall.

Hello Mesut,
An interesting blend of textures, colours and strange details. One of those pictures that could be blown up and hung on a wall. A very informative note.

Merhaba Mesut, moj komshijo (my neighbour). The old folk knew what they were doing. I like the components of the Horasan method for the character they gave to the building and because of the durability. Excellent light and sharpness of the image. Selamlar. Klaudio.

Merhaba Mesut,
I like a lot this kind of pictures.
You've done an excellent close-up to bring all the textures out.
The fine quality of your shot reveals many details, the grain of the wall is palpable.
Of course, the red plate is very eyecatching and is perfectly placed in your composition.
Almost an abstract work, compliments.

Bonjour Mesut

Hi Mesut,
this red number in the grey wall makes a great contrast it's eye catcher and of course the main theme of the scene. The old walls with the wooden elements are an other attractive point of the scene.
Have a nice evening,Danos

Hi Mesut,
This must be the ultimate TE upload, "learn about the world"! I read your note with great interest here, I have never before heard of the use of eggwhite as a binder in building materials (in the seventies they used casein in self leveling compounds here in Sweden, with big problems). Interesting colours in this capture!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Guten Abend, Mesut!
