Photographer’s Note

Another view of the famous Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir.
Great part of those old wooden houses there are been renovated and serve nowadays as either hotels, restaurants or are housing some old crafts like makers of Meerschaum pipes, glass artworks etc.
Odunpazarı district ise therefore a living museum and can be compared with the nice artists village Worpswede close to Bremen (Germany).
Another important point of this capture is, to show the viewer how old architecture can be combined with modern architecture (the appartment at back).

Eskişehir'in ünlü Odunpazarı'ndan bir başka görüntü
Odunpazarı'nın bu eski evlerinin çoğu günümüzde restore edilmiş olup, otel, restoran gibi hizmet vermekte. Bazılarında ise Eskişehirli sanatçılar, ünlü lületaşı işlerini ya da cam eserlerini yapıp pazarlamakta.
Bu hali ile Odunpazarı yaşayan bir müze. Bu hali ile Almanyada Bremen şehri yakınlarındaki Worpswede sanatçı köyü ile büyük benzerlik var aralarında.
Bu karenin bir özelliği de, akılcı çözümlerle eski ve yeni mimarinin nasıl uyumlu bir birlikteliği olabileceğini göstermek.

çok hoş bir açı yakalamışsınız mesut bey... arka plandaki beton yapı bile gözü rahatsız etmiyor, hatta renk katıyor ortama... iyi pazarlar size...

Worpswede in Anatolien - wer hätte das gedacht?! ;-) auch dass das deutsche Wort Meerschaum so international ist, wusste ich nicht. Wieder der Beweis - TE bildet!!! Mir gefällt besonders dieses Licht in Deinem Foto. Ein schönes Eckchen ...

mavi, yeşil, sarı, turuncu, lacivert, kırmızı... ne ararsanız var tek bir karede. çok renkli ve albenili bir fotoğraf bu Mesut Bey. herhalde 100 kez gitmişimdir Eskişehir'e ama daha ne Odunpazarı'na gidebildim ne de Gordion'a :(
