Photographer’s Note

Still going on with mey captures from Eskişehir.
Here a view from the inside of one of those 150-200 years old typical turkish houses in Odunpazarı.
All of them are been renovated and are either in use as homes or as nice little restaurants; or small ateliers for different artists.
This one was been utilised as a small restaurant with a menu consisting of typical central Anatolian cookery.
In the window a samovar; typical teacooker of almost every houselhold than.

What did Tevje the milkman said ?

I'd build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen,
Right in the middle of the town.
A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below.
There would be one long staircase just going up,
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.

Eskişehir karelerine devam. Bu kare de ünlü Odunpazarı evlerinden birinin iç görüntüsü. 150-200 senelik bu ahşap evler çoğu restore edilmiş ve şimdilerde herbiri, ya minik restoranlar olarak, ya da bir takım sanatçıların işlikleri ve dükkanları olarak hizmet veriyor.
Burası tipik orta Anadolu yemekleri yapıp servis veren şirin bir restoran'ın giriş bölümünden bir görüntü.
Karşı pencerenin içide, o günlerdeki her Türk Evi'nin olmazsa olmazı bir semaver.

netliği,kadrajı ve ışığıyla enfes bir iç mekan çekimi.tahta merdivenlere vuran ışık ortamı daha da ısıtmış.kimbilir zamanında kimler indi çıktı bu merdivenleri.kimi zaman telaşla,kimi zaman sevinçle,kimi zaman hüzünle,kimi zamanda endamla...

Hallo Mesut! Da moechte ich gleich reingehen und diese Koestlichkeiten ausprobieren. Das Treppenhaus ist wunderschoen, das Holz strahlt eine wunderbare Waerme aus. Das Sonnenlicht auf dem Holz ist das Spezielle, keine Frage, sie geben dem Bild den besonderen Touch. Schoener Samstagmorgen, hier regnet es leicht ... Barbara.

An excellent treatment of the light conditions here! The beam along the wall is included in the composition is a very fine way!

Guten Morgen, Mesut!
Ja, ich glaube, dort kann man sich wohlfühlen. Das schöne Licht, die warmen Holztöne und die Maserung des Holzes machen diese Treppe zu etwas Besonderem. Das sieht sehr gemütlich aus. Was kommt hinter dieser Treppe...?

Merhaba Mesut,

Renkler ve netlik harika. Yukardan gelen isik ortadaki basamaklari aydinlatmis, etraf da kdaraklik ve o kadar güzel ki bir nevi çerçeve olmus. Not da ayni sekilde zengin.

Son hafta içinde bir sürü seyahat vardi, üstelik de talebelerime imtihan verdim. Bu semestre sonu emekli olmaya karar verdim. Iki kitapla birden ugrasacagim. Son çikan kitap (Leonardo's Universe), Britannica tarafindan "One of ten must have books for the year" diye kabul edilmis. O yüzden basim evleri yeni kitap yazmam için basiyorlar. Daha sik fotograf yollamadigimin sebebi de bu. Yorumuna çok tesekkür ederim.

Hello Mesut,

This is a very inviting interior, I can't wait to enter that stairs!
The fine light renders warm attractive colours, and the exposure is well done resulting in fine details...
