Gençlik Parkı (literally Youth Park) is a public park in Ankara, Turkey.

Geography
The 27.5 ha (68 acres) park is almost at the center of Ankara. Its altitude is about 850 m (2,790 ft), which makes it one of the lowest points of Ankara. It is surounded by Ulus Square in the north, Opera house in the east, Selim Sırrı Tarcan Sports Hall and Ankara Central Station in the south and, 19 Mayıs Stadium in the west.

History
During the early years of the republic, the place, where now the park is, was a marshland. After the marshes were dried up, the park was established and opened to public on 19 May 1943, the National Youth Day.[1]
There were coffee houses around the 42,000 m2 (0.016 sq mi) main pool, a swimming pool, a luna park, an open air theatre and tracks. In 1957, two miniature trains were established within the park area as a part of ammusement.

The park in the 2000s
After restoration and renovation works, there are now a cultural center, youths' center and Ankara Municipality Convention Hall as well as 43 kiosks in the park. During nights light performances are held in the main pool.[2] Also a science museum is under construction.

Un endroit intéressant surtout pour les jeunes..
J'aime le cadrage de l'arbre avec le chemin dégivré, sous une belle étendue de terrain enneigée et d'une belle lumière

Bonjour Adnan,
le témoignage photographique d'un froid vraiment très intense., cette eau qui a gelé même dans son mouvement sur les rives.
Le soleil parvient à peine à réchauffer l'atmosphère.

Bonsoir Adnan,
Ce cadrage intégrant une partie du tronc de l'arbre et de ses branches est un choix judicieux pour nous présenter un tapis de neige qui recouvre le sol à perte de vue; On perçoit presque le froid environnant !
Une vue simple qui nous rend réaliste :l'hiver n'est pas fini

A pity that this nice frozen swimming pool not can use as ice rink for skaters.
