Photographer’s Note

This is an area called "Yedi Goller" (Seven Lakes) in Bolu restrict which is in the Western Black Sea region of Turkey..Its a natural resort, beautiful place..Its one of the most endemicly rich mountainous and wooded districts on earth afaik.(Well, Turkey is not Istanbul or wonderful Mediterranian coasts and sunshine, its much more than that)
Its quite common for mountain villagers to sell their home made natural products (breads, jams, dried fruits) as well as honey, wild berries, a type of local truffe and wild flowers over there. This village woman and her two kids were preparing some bunches of wild flowers and selling them that day.. was a beautiful day..

(PS. Cokin Natural Density Gradual Filter+ Nikon Circular Polarizer are used together for this shot..unfortunately the colours were much more contrasty and vivid in Velvia slide.)

I enjoy the atmosphere here and how the woman is showing us her back, composition well calculated imo. But the colours have some problems imo, the effect like one has used too much clarify tool, i.e, the foreground is too bright and flat..

Hi Evren:
Very beautiful skies and deep colours here. I like the vairety of elements, the selelrs, the trees and the sky. Ill keep this place in Mind as maybe Ill go tu Turkey fro 10 days in Novemeber. I love the Black sea cost area, I have been to Trabzon, Rize, Ayder and Uzungol.
Thank you for sharing, I really like seeing your old pictures.

Çok hoş bir kompozisyon. İnsanların doğanın içinde kurduğu doğal ürünleri sergiledikleri tezgahlar atmosferi çok güzel. Renkler doygun ve çarpıcı. Bir sorum olacak: böyle anlarda 81a filtre tercih edilebilirmi ? İzzet hoca çoğu fotosunda kullanıyor. Selamlar sevgiler.

Wow, this picture is so colorful, I love the sky and...all the picture ;o). It looks like a painting Evren. Moreover you have framed the picture perfectly. Do your remembe what kind of flowers they were selling ? They look like nice !

Evren, I think scanning is the issue because the quality doesn't seem very good. I don't know anything about scanning so I can't really help, but I wish you had been able to do it again and show the image in it's full glory, I think it deserves it.
Colours are fantastic, composition very good but perhaps just a bit more at the bottom so the tables aren't cut off would be beneficial.

Merhaba Evren,
Gökyüzünün her türlü görünümü harika oluyor. Burada da öyle. Biraz gerçeküstü görünüyor olması ŞAHSEN beni hiç rahatsız etmiyor. Sağ taraftaki diagonal üç katman nefis bir atmosfer yaratmış. Elbette soldaki çiçekler ve bizden insanların görünümü gerçekten sıcak bir duygu uyandırıyor.

A beautiful scene, Evren, with amazingly vibrant colors (even after the scanning process, I think). Good framing with the colorful market stand and the sellers in the bottom left area. The sky is pretty special, too, and overall the appearance and composition of this photo to me seems reminiscent of an impressionist painting. I like it.

Hi Evren - for an 11 year old picture the quality is great, and the bright colours of thye flowers and sellers clothing complement the spectacular (but grainy) sky.
