The view from the lighthouse at Amasra looking east across the Black Sea. The fg island is a nesting ground for hundreds of seagulls. The coastline as far as Sinop is very rugged and picturesque. Its also 10-15c cooler in summer than many other parts of Turkey. There is decent beach for swimming in Amasra Town, to the right of this image.

the Black Sea has always fascinated me. I used to think as a child that the water was black, but this glorious view proves that to be totally wrong. An idyllic place and captured beautifully!
Enjoy the weekend - B.

On n'a pas souvent l'occasion de la voir. J'aime le point de vue qui semble passer par dessus la petit île rocheuse au premier plan. J'aime beaucoup les nuages au loin.

A well composed seascape with excellent depth. Nicely illuminated and with very good colours and sharpness.

I wasn't sure that I had ever heard of this place before but on investigation, there are lots of uploads.
I would imagine that it is very popular as a holiday destination if the temperature is so much cooler than other parts of the land. I can understand why it is a haunt of birds with such a rugged coastline and island opportunities.
A fine viewpoint and lovely f/g textural details.
Have a good day,

A fabulous sight on the lone rock-island, it's cliff looks as eroded and "polished" by water for a long time.
Excelent clear day, and well collected the view across the bay, and blue beautiful sea color.
Have a nice weekend,

The distance between the island and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details, the colors of the island and of the mountains in the background. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Very attractive view of the KARA DENIZ, I see this part of Turkey doesn't have the sandy beaches. Anyway I like this landscape, good exposure, fine DoF!

This is a nicely composed shot of this beautiful seascape. The inclusion of the rocks in the foreground adds depth to the scene while the island provides a nice point of interest. The lighting is great as is the sharpness and color.
