This is from the small town of Amasra on the Turkish Black Sea coast. Amasra should not be confused with Amasya, an Anatolian city shown in my last upload.
There is not much to see in Amasra, but it is a nice and pleasant resort attracting mainly Turkish tourists who come to relax on the small beach and enjoy the fresh fish served in the local restaurants.
The "times three" of the title refers to the two complementary photos shown as workshops.

It is a well-chosen framing, in a straight angle shot that works very well graphically, and gives a nice perspective to the elegant housing of this small town. The light and the shades have a beautiful effect on the elements, and the colors are magnificent. well done.

I think the climate is relatively cool fresh even at the height of summer and the views of this small town is fabulous deep in rich colors. It is an unspoiled natural paradise with breathtaking natural scenery. The crystal clear blue water, the ancient stonebridge, the foliage, blue sky and clusters of typical Turkish style houses and the minaret which are stunningly enchanting and in perfect harmony. Such scenery is intoxicating, the calmness of the morning is so relaxed and serene. It is undoubtedly an ideal place for holiday. A fine sense of peacefulness from this image. Great shot, Congrats
Enjoy your additional photos, they equally of high quality full of contents, particularly I like the 'Going Fishing' image, the juxtaposition and stonebridge in the distant.

Det här ser ju rätt angenämt ut. Det är många färger i bilden och vattnet ser ut att vara väldigt klart. Hur varmt var det (både i luften och i vattnet) när du var här?

The waters in the foreground are pristene. The archaic bridge and the small town across it makes the photograph very well composed. The greenery on the left is bright and deep. The details of the bridge and the visible difference in the colour of the waters on either side is excellent. The sun soaked roof tops and the walls of the buildings have clarity. The tall minaret rising from among this cluster of buildings is excellent. The hills in the background and the skies does not take our focus away from the imagery in the foreground, but add to the overall effect.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the compact feel of this place. The callm sky and water nicely balance the business of the buildings.

There may not be much to see in Amasra, but it seems like Amasra itself is something to see - very picturesque little town, Gert! I love the old stone bridge, and the colors and shape of the spot itself are timeless. Wonderful blue water, which matches the color cast of the hills in BG.

I think there are plenty to see in this beautiful seaside village! It's beautiful and nicely placed. I wouldn't mind living in one of those houses. Nicely captured with good lighting and dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors especially the clear water. Well done, tfs.

Hello dear Gert,
On thumbnail I was also thinking if TE members will notice the difference between Amasya and Amasra, but you have given necessary info's.
This pov of Amasra is not much used. Normally people walk over the bridge and use the othed side.
Anyhow this is a nice capture from this beautiful corner at Blacksea.
By the way, before Antalya and surrounding had gotten popular, Amasya was a very much used summer vacation destination, mainly by Turks living in Ankara.
TFS and best regards

I think that Autumn is the season I like the least, although sometimes I like even less Winter, but I must admit that it offers great opportunities to explore the colours You did a wonderful job here, I love the clarity lightness that make the blue and architecture! and the way you framed the place FG and BG

I'm glad you presented the two WS photos aswell, I especially like the scene with the fishermen in the boats. In the 2 shots we can see the charm, one is a bit more rustic, the other more scenic.
it was a difficult time of day for photos, very harsh light, but still a nice shot. seems like very shallow waters, no boats on this side.
charming place, and a good photo despite the strong sun.

I've thought firstly ; this is Bosnia!Magnificent prospect of Amasra as like i've never seen.
marabu61 (5879) 2012-10-15 12:53
a pleasing little town, I can just imagine how nice it must be sitting in one of the restaurants with a good meal and a glass of wine.
I like your framing, it is almost like one is about to wander down to the bridge and then in to the town.
a pity though that the picture tilts ever so slightly to the left.
dkmurphys (42633) 2012-10-15 14:04
Lovely postcard from that wonderful old town. I like it a lot, charming capture.
Have a good night.

beautiful place in Turkey. Fantastic setting on the small island, nice bridge and mosque. Wonderful colours.
I returned yesterday from my South Africa trip. It was fantastic adventure. I am full of great memories (and a few SD cards are also full :)). I will post some of them soon.

Wow! Let me add my congratulations to you! Excellent photo. Very beautiful place, outstanding summer (not autumn) colors. It reminds me Bulgarian Nesebar, island-town on the Black sea too.
Best wishes from cool rainy Ural,

a lovely and peaceful scenery, very attractive in the splendid sunshine. The composition looks simple but your point of view is superb and offers an excellent, very detailed description of this quiet town and its surroundings. Your two other pictures possess the same qualities and together give us a very comprehensive idea of a place very few of us had heard of before. I love the pleasant colours and sunshine that vivify the view and radiate good mood. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Glint (5929) 2012-10-17 0:28
pretty as a postcard with the blue sky and terracotta coloured rooftops-always an attractive combination.I like that you have left a lot of water in fg as it tempts the viewer to dive in, at least with the eyes.

this year you are also not at home. But your travels gives the formidable result for the pleasure of the Planet. And your documentation is special. So glad to follow you again, friend.
PS. Swedish football is fantastic if we look at the yesterday's result!

lovely town. You have found a great POV to show it in a very interesting way with the bridge and the water all around. I enjoy visiting less popular destinations, it is so interesting and encourages me to try doing it may be in the future.
Very well done,

What a beautiful place, colored, clear, pure. I like how the houses are grouped tightly on the rock. Nice picture.
Angshu (52962) 2012-10-22 8:34
One of your latest digital pictures :-)...and one without a human presence
The blue water is clean & the town seems to be separated from the mainland by the bridge. A fine agglomeration of colours. Very nice!
kennyblack (4207) 2012-11-07 8:21
Lately I've seen many documentaries on Turkey did not think she was so beautiful. I really like this your picture taken with a great POV and beautiful coloring. Thank you for having shared.

I found this picture in your gallery and I think the location is just amazing. I have spent almost one month in Turkey traveling around but this place escaped my attention - what a shame. Fantastic POV and very nice composition, with excellent proportions. Very nice colors despite what seems to be quite harsh sun. Is the line horizon slightly askew?
Otherwise, fabulous picture!
Thanks for sharing it!
kato (9582) 2013-03-12 23:07
You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the small town faced to Turkish Black Sea. There are many crowded houses with red roof and clean/blue sea in this town. It's impressive in the surrounding greenery and mountain range of backdrop, too. So, here looks like a good place for relax and eating fresh fishes as you note.
clic (12467) 2013-04-22 16:16
What a romantic view you captured from a vantaged angle to show the best of this small village surrounded by pristine waters!
It appears as a jewel set on a blue velvet shelf in a showcase!
A pleasure for the eyes!
