Taken in the famous beaches of Dalaman where Caretta Caretta'a (a sea turtle)lay their eggs.
Here a caretta baby try to find his way to the sea, through a field of different shaped and colored pebbles which are not quite different than himself.
One in the sea, a great journey shall start. But the way untill there ise filled with great dangers.
On WS you can see one of them, just before reaching the sea.

This is a wonderful picture with these sea turtle in full action, perfect protection through the colours of the nature.
Happy that that your second picture shows with the sea turtle on one meter of the water.
Very well done, TFS.

This is such a beautiful image, true to nature, and what an experience to watch them taking their first steps in life. I like the light reflecting on both turtle and stones. The variation of true nature colours and detail in the scene is very soothing to the eye, thanks to your good focus and exposure. This event must be fascinating to observe, and you were incredibly lucky to be able to see such a spectacle.

this is a real charmer of an image. It has an Ahhh! appeal about it and demonstrates the fragility of new born life so beautifully. Love it and the workshop one too!

This isn't the kind of image I associate with you, but it's a fine nature photograph nonetheless. As your note points out, the baby turtle blends in quite well with the stones of the beach. I hope he makes it!

A remarkable photo. You would have to walk very carefully on this beach to avoid causing a fatal accident. Is it really open to the public at that time of the year? The instincts of these small creatures are amazing. Who tells them to walk straight to the sea? I wonder what the percentage of survivors is.
You show us two well taken and rather different photos of great natural beuty.

Amazing how they blend in so well with the rocks, and also how they instinctually know that they need to head to the water. Cute photo, it really put a smile on my face:)

Beautifully spotted the newly born turtle, Mesut, making his way to the sea.
Nature doe's amazing things. I compare its size in relation to the surrounding pebbles stones on shore - a wonderful macro, with dynamic scaled by the small creature.
Light gave the stones extra vivid tones.
Have a nice Friday,

Excellent detail photo in superb light and clarity. You must have a good eyes to see this small creature between the white stones. I like the arrangement in square format and the excellent tight crop. Well done.

Hello dear Mesut,
this is avery lovely and touching picture that shows the persidtence and fragility of life. Your picture is captivating, focusing on the struggle of the baby turtle while crossing this new and critical stage of its life. There's superb sharpness and I love the way you captured the textures, colours and undulations of the beach. The light has a lovely mildness. I love the workshop picture too. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

Beautiful shot. I have seen these little turtles on TV shows, as hundreds run for the sea, with no end to the dangers all around them. this little guys camouflage is excellent, as I had to search for him with my eye being drawn straight to the large grey pebble. Excellent capture of one of my favorite scenes from nature.
ktanska (28152) 2013-11-30 2:17
This is just wonderful! Together with the next shot of course. They start their life on the beach and very few return. Good low light. That bigger rock gives good idea on how small a new born turtle is.
