On holiday in Hisoronu, Turkey. i walked passed the Mosque a few times and spotted that in the afternoon the sun shone through the amber glass in the minaret on top of the mosque giving a vibrant golden glow.
i tried to get the sun directly behind the minaret to exaggerate the impact.

Very beautiful image, the mineret makes such a striking silhouette, while your idea to illuminate the glass top has worked beautifully and created a very eye catching image. The strong deep shadow and wonderful golden glow compliment each other perfectly. Very nicely done.

This get we not everyday to see.
Also as contrast picture very well found.

A challenging shot no doubt. I like the lighting effect! and nothing can beat sunlight at its best to enhance this back lit minaret. Good exposure control and the colours are amazing. Real cool! Congrats

Nicely done Chris. Did you do any post processing work to bring out the work on the mminaret?
