One of the most important cities of the antique World is for shure Ephesus, in Western Turkey.
From today onwards I shall post some captures I made there a few weeks ago and also some from my archive I made during past years.
This first one shows the famous library "Celsus Library" of Ephesus.
Bugünden itibaren küçük bir dizi halinde bazı Efes görüntüleri paylaşacağım sizlerle.
Bu ilk kare, Efes'in ünlü kütüphanesi "Celsus" Kütüphanesinin bir görüntüsü

I am impressed to see this façade still standing after so many years with nothing to support it. Just imagine what this would have looked like if the whole building had been left. I am glad you included the persons stepping inside the view in the lower right corner. They balance the composition and fill it with human life.

bellissimi questi luoghi, soprattutto con questa luce e questo cielo.
Il colonnato è magnifico e la qualità della foto lo esalta in modo particolare.

well presented, good angle and light capture, great architecture, lovely contrast with this blue sky.

I guess this gives us a glimpse of what the entire building looked like, its actually pretty easy to try and piece it together.
Oh to have seen this in its golden years! what a piece of architecture!

Very impressive Roman architecture even though partially remaining, for the tall dual Corinthian columns, large arches and statue facades.
I can imagine the importance of Ephesus and why Jesus chose it as a place for preaching.
Thanks for sharing,

Merhaba dear Mesut
Not many tourists around, at least visible unless they are hidden in the shade. When we were there, the place was teeming with tourists, which could have been because there was a cruise ship which had anchored. Nice postcard from Ephesus, with its most famous building covering the frame.

The marvelous Ephesus Mesut. I was inspired by this place and wish that we had had longer to explore and fewer people to jostle with! One of the reasons the place captured my imagination so much was because Paul the Apostle spread the Gospel here and I am familiar with his letter to the church in Ephesus. This helped to bring the stones to life for me.
A super shot and a pleasure to revisit the place through your eyes.

Since we don't have any very old structures here in NY, I'm always fascinated by places where people lived so many centuries ago. The columns and arches are beautiful, and it's nice to see some tourists exploring this famous site. It must be great to stand in a place like this, and feel that you are connected to history. I like the lovely, blue sky, and warm sunshine, too.

Hello dear Mesut,
a very interesting, lovely and fascinating place, the ancient Library impresses the visitor from any distance and angle. I like very much the way you filled the frame with the stunning facades and how you left much space for a very interesting foreground too. The strong contrasts are very attractive, the dense shadows add an intense graphical aspect. The human presence is discreet and agreeable. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
