Photographer's Note

Oil on Canvas is one of my favorite groups and their album "Fruit" is, I think, a masterpiece. My favorite songs from this album is 'Dove Coloured Fools' and 'Love is...(confusion)'.

I discovered them 10 years ago and since then I've been constantly listening to the same album, recommending it to friends and even copying it for them because it is next to impossible to find their albums here. The strange thing is that you can find almost nothing about them on the Internet - no info, no lyrics, no nothing!

I found this spot on the way to Foca and stopped to watch the sunset. I took several photos of the setting sun and the gulls, but I preferred to post this one as I find the others beautiful but kind of boring. I wish I had been able to photograph a long-haired, slender girl clad in a long, flimsy dress, standing by the cliff as if she were going to jump. Alas! You should make do with a man relaxing after a long drive. ))

Oil on Canvas en sevdigim gruplardan biri. Yillardir bikmadan dinliyor, herkese tavsiye edip duruyorum. Bir itiraf: Aslinda Oil on Canvas konusunda biraz kiskancim, albumun hoslanmadigim insanlarin eline gecmesi tuylerimi diken diken ediyor nedense. Piyasada bulunmak zor oldugu icin sevdigim insanlara kopyaliyor, bir de utanmadan benim istemeyecegim insanlara vermemelerini tembihliyorum! Ama beni dinleyen kim! :)))
Eski Foca yolunda martilar ve batan gunes temali bir suru fotograf cektim ama galiba ben oyle fotograflari biraz siradan buluyorum. O yuzden bunu yollamayi tercih ettim. Yanimda bana modellik edecek uzun sacli, ince, narin, uzun beyaz bir elbiseye burunmus bir kiz olmadigi icin de cok hayiflandim.

Hi Fusun,
Nicely seen.I think the inclusion of that man sitting has added a nice perspective here.Had that man been not there it would have been an usual sunset snap.But now it looks quite different and stunning.I guess, a strong crop from left just removing the part of that leftmost chair would have been great.Good composition overall.

Another cracking sunset Fusun! Your style is certainly developing and no mistake. I like the central placement of the sun on this as the figure balances it well. The sky is fantastic. Extremely well done. Kind regards, Paul.

harika bir günbatımı..ama sanırım oturan kişinin elinde bir uzaktan kumanda var ve o anı dondurdu hatta birazdan başa sarıp tekrar izleyecekmiş hissi verdi bana..izmirli biri olarak hiç Foça'ya gitmemiş olmanın utancı içindeyim:(
bir de pink martini sevmek umarım nezninizde çok kötü birşey değildir:)

Kompozisyon, ufuk cizgisi, gunu ugurlayan modelin ile hos bir paylasim... renk ve isik gercekten tam kivaminda.. o albundan bir tane kopyasini isteriz artik :) Yok yaaaw Kackarlardaki Ayularun disinda kimsenin eline gecmez :)

Hi Fusun. I like this view good POV,depth and very good details. Excellent composition with this clouds in the wonderful sky, and human figure give a dynamic in this composition.

Uzun beyaz bir elbiseye bürünmüş olmasa da figürün yine de uzun saçlı, ince ve narin gözüküyor :)))

Bu bulutların, bu gün batımlarının sadece aşıklara göründüğü de doğru bir sav olabilir kanımca.

Ters ışık, düz ufuk çizgisi, ona paralelimsi bulutlar, renkler ve menkler hepsi güzel. Bir de figürün elindeki (belki de olmayan) birayı görebilseydik :)))

WS'i da cok begendim, hic de "boring" degil. Bulutlara vuran gunes isigi her iki karede de nefis. Romantik olmasin diye iri yari bir model oturtmussun ama yine de romantik. )))

Hi Fusun,
I first felt attracted by the title of your photo, then I looked at the image and I thought...mmm...I do not understand well... Then, I read your note and realized that is the title of a song that you like. I checked for that band, but not luck, I could not find it... I will continue searching ;)
I like very much this sunset... that elongated cloud that reaches the two sides of the photo is really nice. Beautiful colors, and yes, I have to agree with you that a pretty girl would have been a plus, but, on the other hand this guy smoking peacefully a cigarette is not so bad :))) and brings that feeling of tranquility, of contemplation to the whole scene... Well captured. Thanks for the musical info too, I will keep looking :)
