[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Alaçatı is a unique Aegean town on the western coast of Turkey, which has been famous for its architecture, vineyards and windmills for over 150 years has now made its name in the world of windsurfing and kitesurfing, with its crystal clear water, consistent and steady wind.

Alaçatı was settled by Ionian Greeks in the ancient period. The town remained almost exlusively Greek throughout the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods. In the early twentieth century and in particular in the period after the Balkan Wars the Greek population suffered massive expulsions. The local Greeks returned in 1919 with the arrival of Greek troops in Asia Minor, only to flee again when the Hellenism of the region was exchanged as part of the Exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey in the framework of the Lausanne Treaty after Greece's defeat in the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922).

Today, the visitors of the town enjoy the cosy atmosphere created by its beautiful inhabitants and charming atmosphere, which consists of sublime authantic architecture, serving much as cafes, bars, discos, art houses and enchanting souvenir shops with various kinds of expensive hobby stuff.

Süper güzellikte bir mavi, çok hoş bir mimari...
Ben burada Alaçatı'nın güzellikleri ile hayallere dalmışken birileri Ermeni Soykırımı'ndan girip Kurtuluş Savaşı'ndan çıkmış. Neyin kavgasını veriyor belli değil.

Buradaki iki kelime ile tanınacak kadar aciz bir ülke isek zaten vay halimize.
Türkiye tarihini bu notu okuyarak öğreneceklerse zaten onların vay haline.

ne hayatlar yaşandı bu güzel taş binada kim bilir... ne mutluluklar gördü ve ne acılar... ama yılmadı belli... hala sevgiyle kucaklıyor girenleri içine, gönlünü çalıyor gelip geçenlerin... böyle bir maviyi kim sevmez ki... kim sevmez böyle bir taş binayı... ancak kalbi taştan olanlar herhalde... veya kafasının içi taşla dolu olanlar...

fotoğrafınız güzel ancak notunuz yanlış efendim.
Türk-Yunan savaşı diye bir savaş yoktur.
Greco-Turkish War dediğiniz War of Independence yani Kurtuluş savaşımızdır.
Greco-Turkish War deyimi iki komşu halkı birbirine düşman kılmak için ihtilaf devletleri tarafından ortaya atılmış ve hala gündemde tutulan bir deyimdir.
Bu sayfalar aracılığıyla bizi dünyaya tanıtırken sizin ne dediğinize bakıyorum ve yanlış yaptığınızı görüyorum.
Unutmayın ki Ermeni Tehciri de İngilizcede Ermeni Soykırımı olarak geçiyor.
Hele bir de "Greek population suffered massive expulsions" deyip de bu toplu göçlerin sadece Yunanlıları etkilediği Türklerin de toplu göçe maruz kalmadığı gibi hava yaratınca bir öğretmen olarak yanlış bilgi vermiş oluyorsunuz.

The deep blue doors and window-blinds forms a strong rythmic graphic in pleasant harmaony of the yellow stone facade, a very symbolic well found title Gultun !
