Photographer's Note
Pamukkale means "Cotton castle" in turkish. It is situated Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley. The area contains hot springs and tavertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The ancient Greco-Roman and Byzantine city of Hierapolis was built on top of the white castle. Romans visited the site for the haeling properties of the springs and there is even a pool in which cleopatra has bathed. It is a world heritage site

Hi Arun,
I had to stop by this photo, as it reminds me of my wonderful holiday in Turkey in November 2010.
I thought Pamukkale was absolutely out of this world.
You caught the travertine and the terraces in a good composition.
I have made a WS as I thought the reality was even brighter; Just tell me what you think.
TFS and best regards.
Marie-Louise.
