Another picture from the ancient city of Aphrodisias.
A marble "hand" of an ancient sculpture, in the hands of a worker of the excavation team.
The contrast of the finely polished marble and the roughness of the workers hand impressed me to make this picture.

Great idea for a photo. I like a contrast between a white marble hand and tanned hands of an old men.

After several months now, I have an occasion to find out this picture again in TE.. When I saw it for the first time, it made a big impression on me but I was in a hurry so didn't make any note what I regret afterwards..
But.. what I did then was to copy the picture for myself, having after that a serious temptation to use that astonishing and symbolic detail as a unusual illustration of Eastern greetings for my friends (marble hand holdes sth what resembles an.. egg).
So.. Now I use an occasion to do what I miss then - saying that the idea of your pics is amazing, everything is perfect.
As you can see, it stayed for a long in my memory!
Thank you for sharing!
