This is a part of the columned gallery of the North Agora. The antique city had two great agora's (market places) in the antiquity: the North agora and the South agora.
Agora's are market places, but at the same time they were centers of daily social life. Here people gathered and discussed daily matters.

I must try and get to Aphrodisias one of these days. It looks every bit as impressive as Ephesus further west. Good warm cold colour contrasts between the yellow tinted columns and the blue sky with excellent sharpness and graphism. Tfs!

Well chosen perspective, Mesut, the 7 pillars broken unevenly by time past, yet, marvelousely impressive.
Light enhanced details over the ruins and the vast yard behind, with excelent contrst to blue sky.

I like the history of long time ago with the pillars in nice white stone.

You achieved superb depth here, by having these columns leading off into the distance creates a beautiful view. Is it unusual to see colums that are plan part way up like this, and fluted the rest of the way? Not something I am familiar with anyway.
All the best

Ciao e buona giornata

You again have a very interesting series. That corner of Mediterranean has so many historic sites, and this looks quite extensive. You have perfect light on those columns showing shapes clearly.

Highly impressive archeological shot so much to admire and its history to illustrate this piece. Like your positioning, viewpoint, great dof, bags of subtle light & colours, a striking subject with some other interests around to complement smoothly. A shot beyond reproach, Congrats.
