Since last Monday I was again in my beloved city of Aphrodisias in Western Anatolia.
Now back to İstanbul I shall post during next days a series of Aphrodisian autumnal beauties.
This first one shows the antique theater at sunrise.
Geçen Pazartesi gününden beri gene Afrodisyasdaydım. Biraz evvel İstanbula döndüm.
Bu kareden itibaren önümüzdeki günlerde sizlerle Afrodisyasın sonbahar güzelliklerini paylaşacağım.
Bu ilk karede Afrodisyas'ın ünlü antik tiyatrosunun üstüne gün doğuyor.

I like the atmosphere you rendered and the very depth of field with very near and sharp foreground.
You caught the instant of the alignment with the sun and the hole in the clouds.

how could anyone not enjoy this one!
even with the sun there it doesn't bother me at all, in fact it probably helps with the illumination of the theatre, very well lit indeed.
love this POV looking down with depth.

Spectacular capture, a well balanced image with a difficult sunlight management. Successful work, have a nice day.

What a spectacular scene as the morning sun breaks the clouds and creates this beautiful burst over this ancient building. It has lit the foreground perfectly and created a wonderful sense of the new day dawning, all to the tune of a wonderful architectural scene. Really a beautiful and perfectly taken scene.
All the best

Hello dear Mesut,
this is a magnificent picture, a great description of the ancient theatre during a special hour of the day. A bold shot against the bright rising sun. You've achieved superb clarity and textures all over the theatre and even beyond. The sense of depth and the spread of interest, from the little stone in the foreground to a vast area ahead are marvellous. I absolutely love the play of light and shadows, the colours and the atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

At my first glimpse, I couldn't say if I liked or disliked the sun just in front. But, after a few seconds, I think it brings a real "plus", providing a special light to this antique theatre. Great shot !

The "spirit" of multi-centenary troubadours and actors floating above the historic crater enlights beautifully the terraces!
You dared facing sun for an artistic achievement!
