Black hole, a photo from Aydin, Aegean

Photographer's Note

Another capture from Aphrodisias. This is the typical view in springtime. Many places (here this is the entrance of the house of a rich Aphrodisian) are full witgh rainwater, which again are been covered with tiny waterlillies.
And if you have luck -like me in this case- a frightened frog can jump in this water and create this black hole !

Afrodisias antik kentinden bir başka görüntü. Bu görüntü ilkbahar aylarında Afrodisyasda sıkça rastlayacağınız bir görüntü. Pek çok yerde dip suları küçük gölcükler oluşturur. Bu gölcüklerin üzerleri de bir süre sonra milyonlarca minik su bitkisi ile kaplanır.
Burası zengin bir Afrodisyaslı'nın evinin giriş kısmı.
Eğer şansının varsa da, yol kenarındaki kurbağlardan biri suya atlayıp biraz sonra yavaş yavaş kapanacak bu kocaman deliği oluştururlar !

Hello Mesut,
Today we are almost neighbours - and with the same country:-)
This is an unusual and amusing composition. We rarely see ancient ruins with this kind of green "floor". Even rarer is too see a hole created by a frog. So this is a fine combination of culture, nature and colours.

I though first that one of your grandchildren a stone has been thrown in the water, and the grandfather with the camera in the hand make these nice picture.
A very nice picture of this excellent and interesting composition of form and color.
Perspective and depth are perfect.

Hello Mesut,

I can't help thinking that it must have been an enormous frog that jumped and made that big black hole in the green growth on that water!

But this is a lovely photograph, well composed and with lovely colours - I just wonder if you were lucky to catch the splash as the frog jumped when you were composing the shot!

Those tall columns are beautiful and make a fine feature against the lovely bright green on the water. The "splash" is an added point of interest too. The colours are gorgeous, the light excellent and your exposure and composition perfect. Very sharp and detailed too.

beautiful shot of ancient riun and the black hole . Wonderful composition and great framework. I like it POV and DOF too with magnificent green colors, sharpness, clarity, great lighting. An amazing how frog can make this hole. Thanks for sharing.

Das ist ja ein richtiges Schnäppchen und schon in der kleinen Version wird man auf das "Loch" aufmerksam. Ein sehenswertes und wahrlich nicht alltägliches Foto. Antike mal ganz anders ...
