Another view from Aphrodisias made not this time but last year in February. Popplar trees still in their wintery cloth. In the foreground some of the hundreds of thousands of marble pieces, waiting to be part of a sculpture or column in the repair and reconstruction shops.

Afrodisias'dan bir başka görüntü. Üç gün evvelki ziyaretimden değil, geçen sene şubat ayından.
Kavaklar henüz kış elbiseleri içinde, ön planda ise günün birinde diğer parçaları ile birleşmeyi bekleyen binlerce mimari parçadan birkaç'ı.

Sanki tarih öncesi devirlere gittim şu an,gözlerimi kapattığımda ise tarih öncesi devirlerle ilgili bir film izlemişim de,sahneleri gözümün önüne gelmiş gibi.

Merhaba Mesut,
It is a really amazing picture with a marvelous sky. The ruins in the foreground is a good useful shape for leading our eyes to the others behind. The cloudy sky and the bare poplars are an important ingredient in the image, and add a atmospheric mood to the result. Very well captured.

Hello Mesut,
You are increasing my interest in this place with each post. This is both a another well done informative document and also a very beautiful painterly image. The sky, the pale light and the leafless poplars give the picture a ghostly feel appropriate to the scatterd ruins. Excellent and nicely framed.

Very good capture of this famous place . The contrats are so great ( old stones , poplar trees ) with the dark threatening sky .

Hi mesut, Quite different mood this time. You have so much of these stones in Turkey. It seemed to me that it would be enough to take a spade and at once you will dig a column or statue. interesting white trees and very dark sky.
