Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken three days ago at Afyon/TURKEY.
The one on the front side is Turabi and the one on the back side is son of master Nedim. Nedim BEŞKARDEŞ is hot metal hammering master. This sort of masters has the capability of doing shaping processes with mold or without mold on their own within a time of period by heating iron, steel and such metals and hammer them with human power or via machine. Master Nedim in collaboration with his own son, firstly heats the iron, steel and such materials in the owen and then crush it by 100 tons of presser and produce equipments like automobile spare part. Ön taraftaki Turabi, arkadaki Nedim Ustanın oğludur. Nedim BEŞKARDEŞ sıcak metal dövme ustasıdır. Sıcak Metal Dövme ustası, demir, çelik vb. metalleri ısıtarak, sıcak olarak insan gücüyle ya da makine yardımıyla döverek, kalıplı veya kalıpsız şekillendirme ile ilgili işlemleri, kendi başına ve belirli bir süre içerisinde yapma bilgi ve becerisine sahip nitelikli kişidir. Nedim Usta, oğluyla beraber demir, çelik gibi malzemeleri ilk önce fırında ısıtarak daha sonra 100 tonluk presle ezerek oto yedek parçası, kepçe tırnağı gibi malzemeleri üretmektedir.

Mükemmel bir çift portre , arkadaki Nedim Usta'nın oğlunun iş başındayken renkli hali de çok hoş olabilir bence.
Ondeki ustanın yorgun ama gururlu bakışları çok hoşuma gitti.

Fantastic portrait work, you can just see the exhaustion on his face. The glow of the metal from the other worker is a great touch here in terms of light management.

Afyona gittin, kısa bir süre kalmana rağmen ordan da fotoğraf çıkardın ya helal olsun valla. :))
Fotoğrafta her şey çok doğal, öndeki çocuğun duruşu ve surat ifadesi muhteşem. Arkadaki modelin profilden görünüşü ve işine odaklanışı, kompozisyona çok değişik bir atmosfer katıyor. Işık tek kelimeyle enfes. Renk seçimi ve kontrast ayarı çok yerinde olmuş. Kısacası çok temiz bir fotoğraf.

Very good portrait of the man at his daily work. You have composed the image well so the other worker is in the background for context. B&W was the perfect choice for this kind of image.

Your series of mechanics is one of the greatest currently here on TE, each shot is a success with always a very interesting BG for us to observe, here the man in the FG is a bit expressionless but I guess that he is like that anyway and not specially for the photo !
