Photographer’s Note

I took lots of shots in the Old Quarter of Aleppo, but hardly any in its more modern part, here's one of the few I've found- a typical house in the centre, not particularly interesting, but i liked how it seemed to be bent in this reflection (though the heat of 40 C is sometimes enough to twist your perception like that ) And only barely visible- there's also my friend standing next to a street sign and reading our indespensable Lonely Planet guide:-)we were just heading towards the Christian Quater which is perhaps 500 m away from here.

Tonacja to mocna strona tej fotografi.

siwtnie wyszlo ci to odbicie. Masz szczescie, pare razy probowalem i nic mi nie wychodzilo. Bycmoze kluczem jest tonacja w sepii bo zdjecie wyglada znakomicie.

The view of the building is very original as is the colourful tint as reflected in the car,
really well cpatured, it gives a good idea of what modern construction is like in Syria

A great shot again, Aleksandra, with beautiful tonality that is somehow able to convey the heat. Wonderful composition how the slight distortion expresses that heat-induced sensation... which I haven't had for a while up here...
