Photographer’s Note
Hamah is the most conservative city in Syria. Unfortunately most of the old town was razed when the government troops stifled a rebellion of the Muslim Brotherhood in 1982. Still it is worth visiting.
Hamah is famous mainly with it's wooden water wheels, however there are also an interesting atelier in the old town and a very old aqueduct on the Orontes river - this picture was taken nearby.

Greetings Karolina,
You've managed to capture a relic of history here in a most creative way. The light is perfect and the reflections so add to the shot. You've resisted the temptation to over saturate the colours....good. I'm finding myself just staring at this photo imagining what it must have been like when it was intact. Makes me want to visit Syria.
Regards
Peter
