Photographer’s Note

...i was walking the souqs of aleppo and i saw this little entrance between two shops with a sigh "hammam" on top... and i sneaked in through the steam!...

...don't ask me what i was doing in a hammam with my camera in hand! >:P...

(they saw me in there, wanted me to take their picture, gave me a banana and a cucumber!!!... and i left the place running my a** off, LOL...)

...i know the technical quality is not the best but i wanted to share this one with you...

Son dönemlerde sitede gördüğüm en sıradışı fotoğraflardan biri. Çekim yerini görmesem, Adana, Antep veya Hatay'daki hamamlardan biri olduğunu düşünebilirdim.

Louvre'daki tabloyu eke koyarak güzel, nüktedan bir denge kurmuşsunuz. Nottaki espritüel ifadelere, özellikle de üçüncü paragrafa çok güldüm.

C'est une belle photo témoignage de la vie en Syrie.

Je vois qu'il est encore possible de fumer dans ces bains turcs !

Adeta bir adet "modelleriyle şakalaşan Ketrin" fotoğrafı olmuş. Corç görse bayılırdı da Ingres hamama gidip böyle bir manzarayla karşılaşsa hem oryantalizmden hem de resim sanatından soğurdu heralde. Hıyarlar ve muzlar da seni fotoğraf sanatından soğutmaz inşallah >:PP
Galerini benimki gibi "karaktersiz" hale getirse de, çok güzel bir fotoğraf. Umarım elin bunun gibi "karaktersizliklere" alışır ve jantilerin arasında böylelerine devam edersin.
Biz birbuçuk saate gidiyoz bu şehirden. Bakalım artık dönüşte neler anlatıcaz sizlere. Kilo vermeye başlamışsınızdır umarım >:D

şimdiye kadar gördüğüm en eğlenceli hamam tablosu bu.modellerin ve ifadeleri müthiş..mizahi yaklaşımınla ortamı çok iyi yansıtmışsın.hep estetik,naif hatunlar olcek değil ya hamamlarda..erkekler olunca ortam böyle oluyor işte:)biraz estetikten uzak ama eğlenceli..o muhteşem hamam tablolarına göndermeler yapmanda çok çarpıcı..ellerine sağlık..selamlar

:))yoo neden soralım ki hamamda fotoğraf makinasıyla işin ne diye. Sen tuvaletten bile fotoğraf çekip yüklemişsin zamanında:p.
Senin bildiğimiz tarzından farklı ama fotoğrafta bir orijinallik var, her fotoğrafında olduğu gibi. Hamamın zemini de çok güzelmiş, oradan çekemedin mi fotoğraf?

Bak bana neyi hatırlattı? Bunun kadın ya da WS versiyonunu Evren yapmış ve eleştirilmişti. Kopya çekti diye o da kendini savunmuştu: Ne yani kadınlar hamamına mı girseydim?
Hani bir de hamama giren terlerdi burada terden eser yok.

Hello Korkut! I was in a Turkish bath in Paris but no men allowed of course but smoking and tea drinking which I found totally inspiring but I do no longer smoke. Nice scene from hamman and for sure not possible (for me, anyway) to see live. They seem enjoy the place. Was it not harmful for your camera? One woman sculptor from Poland went to a men's bath and it was a great scandal.

What can I say, it's funny, it make me smile, any photo that can get an emotion out of me is a success. You will really be in trouble if you were to take the kind of shot from your inspiration. I love the casual atmosphere where all this men really enjoy themselves. So true to life. Technically you did just fine under such circumstances. I'm grade you even managed this much. TE için hayli değişik bir fotoğraf olmuş. Benim su kenarı fotoğraflarımda bile su damlalarının lekeleri eksik olmazken, sen hamamda bile objektifi suya, buhara boğmadan çekebilmişsin ya, usta farkı bu işte...
Demek erkekler hamamında da lahmacun, biber yeniyormuş.
Ama orijinal ilham fotoğrafındaki modeller daha güzel tabii ki:))

Don't know what do you mean about the lack of quality here - that's only the steam. This is a 'delicious' group portrait of men brotherhood in middle east. They shouldn't smoke in there...In a hundred years this pic worth more than gold :)

sanat için soyunmana diyeceğim olmaz da, sanat için bu gurup biraz yıpratır adamı bence..
muz ve salatalıkla işi kurtarmana sevindim..

Outstanding, Korkut - the arrangement of the figures in the frame, the expressions on the men's faces. I think it's a superb shot, full of human warmth.
A classic.

Brilliant! Each face and expression is essential to the image - and you came away with the first ingredients for a meal - although perhaps it meant something quite different - well this photo IS something quite different - I hope you said "It's OK folks I'm a doctor!"
