Hi Stephen,

Aleppo is one of those places I want to see some day, and this good is great appetizer. I hope by the time I visit it, the hotel you stayed in is still standing, this is the kind of view I'd like to have. Thanks for posting.

What a difference the rescan has made to this picture. The arrangements of the rooftops is quite interesting and the colors are superb.

Hi Stephen,
Well that re-scan has worked a treat, the difference is quite unbelievable. It reminds me of your before and after Shibam image, also very well done.
I like the packed frame, so full of different angles and shapes, there are three distinctly different minaret shapes as well.
Quite a view, hope the bed was soft.

Hello Steve,
A rescanning can really make a difference. New equipment, better skills: like a completely new picture. This time you have really captured the light and the warm tones of the sandstone buildings. Aleppo is a remarkable place, and I envy you who managed to find a room with a view. I remember staying in a dark windowless cubicle. It's those traumatic experiences that stick for years ;-)
