Photographer’s Note
Jeddah's old quarter is a nice place to explore with its contrasting view of the old and new. An example is this photo where the old buildings with its own distinctive architecture standing side by side with new modern high rise buildings.

Wonderful architectural details here as well as fine detail throughout your image.

Hello Pedro,
I really like the texture of planes, patterns and colors in this image. It seems that the new and not so old are now dominating the old although it's good to see the continuity of style. I'm wondering why you felt you neede to crop the bottom and right side. I would like to have seen the connection with the street and more of the beautifu street lamp.
Best regards,
Mary

you are luck bro na nakakuha ka ng ganitong shot considering na madami nag-gagala na pulis at muttawa dyan sa area na yan. kung di ako nagkakamali ay yan ba yung "old baghdadheyah" area na malapit sa al balad. dati kasi ko nagtrabaho sa jeddah for 2 years bago ko punta dito uae. i give you points for your bravery in taking this shot and for sharing a part of saudi that most people don't see.
cheers,
kabayang marvs
