Photographer's Note
Outside the Town of Najran in Saudi Arabia is the ruins of an Ancient City of Al Ukhdood with its enormousness
stone block walls, covered in inscriptions, including graffiti from a Roman Legion.
The story is that it was a Christian City whose 6000 inhabitats where burnt alive by a Hebrew King, when they refused to convert in about 262BC.
A Mass grave and human bones have been excavated.
This is a pottery shard I found on the site in 1973.
