I personally believe that Mecca is a hidden treasure, not only because of its religious value to Muslims; but to the fact that itís one of the oldest cities in the world (dates back to Abraham), and until today you don't see much pictures from this city, except the famous ones you see every day on media.
So what I did is I went to one of the old districts there, walked for hours, taking such images. What am trying to do is to show you a different perspective of Mecca.

Although this photo doesn't tell me such a lot about Mecka it is a very nice composition of a place in the city that seems to have been left behind and forgotten. I like the contrasts of the "dirty" colours, the texture of the rough material and the graffiti. You are right that not many ordinary views of this city are usually seen, so please show us more. This is one of very few places in the world I know I will definitely not, under any circumstances, be able to visit.

what!? dongusti back on TE? nice surprize :)
and no need to say that this would be the last photo i would ever expect to see from mecca, as for the reasons you well put in your note. so, people also paint graffiti on the walls of the holy city? now that is something i'd call interesting!

Hi Ahmad, Interesting photo from Mecca somewhere away of the beaten track. We do not see such pictures and why? The answer is rather simple. Who could go move around there? I would like to see the holy place but impossible for an old blond lady. Very nice artistic composition, a bit HDR-ish.
