I spent a day in Qatar waiting for a plane to go to India
It was really very warm ( about 44 degrees and more) but I managed to have a quick view of the city during a morning and early evening
The photo was taken after midday when few people was out and the souk was mainly close
On the left a minaret rises on top of the "Qatar Islamic Cultural Center",where there are courses to learn Arabic language, a theater and offices
The shop on the right is situated at the entrance of the Souq Waqif

Nice view of the city with an interesting and beautiful architecture, good display of colors and beautiful photography.
The sun was UPEK, the square was deserted, no people anywhere.
Have a nice day with beautiful memories of travel.
All the best.

the view of the center and the Souq of Doja looks sympathetic, with the people to have been disappeared because of the high temperatures of the area.A good general scene.

Ciao dear Maria,
interesting photo from Qatar, rich in detail perfectly sharp. The style is typical of Arab towns, where the modern blends with the traditional. Excellent management of strong light. Brava!
Ciao, have a nice Wednesday!

that is something what my wife would also do: having even a little bit of time she would manage to make some shopping :)
Nice reportage from your walk. The tower looks interesting, I am curious if one can get to the top. It would be a great POV. Is it the same center which you prsent in your next photo?

A very interesting picture which looks as though there was a `heat haze` especially with the temps being so high. You have managed it very well.I congratulate you.

Nice view from Doha. The cultural centre building has an unique design with the souk in the FG. May in Gulf is very hot, temperatures reaching over 50 degrees even. But who am I to complain...India is hot as well :-))

That's minaret is very unusual, it looks a modern design, and its thick base is quite unlike any I;ve ever seen. Its a formidable building. Nice to present it as you have with the empty street scene in front, I always love cities with no people!
All the best

Before reading your note Maria, I've seen the heat in that place it's visible on the photo, I've spent also some days in the Gulf (Abu Dhabi) before going to Asia
Nice view of Doha and its architecture, there is no "h" but "u" in my first name, all the best, Good sunday
