I spent a day in Qatar waiting for a plane to go to India
It was really very warm ( about 44 degrees and more) but I managed to have a quick view of the city during a morning and early evening

The photo was taken after midday when few people was out and the souk was mainly close

On the left a minaret rises on top of the "Qatar Islamic Cultural Center",where there are courses to learn Arabic language, a theater and offices
The shop on the right is situated at the entrance of the Souq Waqif

Un très beau cadrage dans cette forte lumière. La terrasse vide qui bientôt se remplira, un ciel parfait et une belle tour en arrière plan.

the view of the center and the Souq of Doja looks sympathetic,with the people to have been disappeared because of the high temperatures of the area.A good general scene.

Es una acertada composición, con un buen uso de la luz y unos colores suaves y naturales...pero no dejo de pensar en el calor que debías estar pasando..normal que no haya gente!!

Pero una imagen muy linda :)

Hola Maria.
Fantastica imagen, muy interesante de este lugar poco conocido, con esas temperaturas no me extraña que no se vea nadie en la calle, donde casi se puede freir un huevo en el pavimento.
Curiosos contrastes en las estructuras de las construcciones. Buena luminosidad y color.
Disfruta de un buen fin de semana.

P/D. No comí en ese restaurante de la foto, sino en otro, pero en Portugal se come muy bien en todos sitios.

interesting photo from Qatar, rich in detail perfectly sharp. The style is typical of Arab towns, where the modern blends with the traditional. Excellent management of strong light. Brava!

Nice reportage from your walk. The tower looks interesting, I am curious if one can get to the top. It would be a great POV. Is it the same center which you prsent in your next photo?

Hola María,
la arquitectura que nos ofreces en este encuadre es muy interesante, tiene un fuerte carácter y un buen grafismo.
Aprovechaste el día en Doha esperando tu vuelo, y aunque no se vea a nadie por la calle, el lugar es hermoso.
Me gusta la metáfora visual de la terraza desierta y las alfombras a la venta pero sin vendedor.
Buen trabajo.

Nice view from Doha. The cultural centre building has an unique design with the souk in the FG. May in Gulf is very hot, temperatures reaching over 50 degrees even. But who am I to complain...India is hot as well :-))
