[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An Israeli soldier finishing his military reserve duty in Jenin and going back to his everyday life. Jenin stays.

I took it "high key" to get the effect of the lines and the "stepping out". This is not staged.

An absolutely delightful albiet a bit treated image though. but retains the magic. A lovely and well planned composition that is beautiful and lovely. The colours and tones are excellent and so are the textures and the colour and light management. Good perspective and pov as well. Overall a superbly crafted image with quality.

Hello Gilad, is an image of visual impact, that although simple for his elements it is complex in his interpretation, I like much the contrast of color and this door towards the normal life where it will remain the weapon of killing and the false mentality of which an enemy exists.

Congratulations for the good work.

A greeting and the desire of which all the military men of the world go out for this door.

Striking image.. You wrote that this man is leaving the Army but I read it in the end and earlier imagined that it might be everyone, it might be everywhere..
Soldier who is stepping to the hell of War.. white, shinnnig, anonymous corridor leading to.. plane? just a War?

What makes the biggest impression is the lonelinness of that man who may never comes back through this door.. Thanks God in reality he is really leaving
Big though very sad: Bravo!
with regards, Agnieszka

an extremly evocative picture.
I like the white all around...it looks like the soldier is walking his stairway to freedom..

ciao

Une image riche de sens. Très belle réalisation, bravo !
Cordialement.
Antoine.

Great image Gilad, the white gives a great futuristic and clean appearance to the image, love the impact it gives.

Hi Gilad,

That is a very interesting composition. I especially like the heavenly white on the walls and I wonder how you got it, without giving in on sharpness of your subject. Well, not so heavenly your subject is, depending on how much you like soldiers and link them to freedom. But I do really like the photograph for the great composition it is!

Greetings,
Dennis

The top.
In its own league.

Hi Gilad,
This one is truly remarkable. Your high key approach puts us in a parallel reality, which, I guess, sets in martial training and combating. The man is coming out of that fog of war and entering a more colorful world. Hopefully, he will have learned that civilian freedom can’t be taken for granted. Beautiful homage.
Regards,
Victor

Very atmospheric shot. I like how you shot this, and the bright whites complement his green army uniform.

An interesting photo, regards

Hi Gilad,
