Humans are cursed to do this to children. All around the world little children suffer while politician and those who mouth the words "freedom" and "justice" send their men to do abominable deeds. Shooting from the air, tank or artillery ,soldiers (who after all are fathers, sons, uncles...)do not see the face of the 'ENEMY" and how it bleeds and the spirit suffers. Your photo does not allow us to turn away and pretend that there is no collateral damage and that wars can ever be clean. A photo to make us all grieve. Regards. Klaudio.

Yes, the Enemy is the war and human bestiality. There are no excuses, we did not grow up in thousands years and continue to use violence instead of our brains and souls. When we hit the innocence of a child we are all guilty.

Retrada bem o horror da guerra, se e que isto vale a pena mostror, somos filhos e temos filho! Sera que doi menos quondo e com o filho dos outros?
Acho que nao, e a foto mostra o quanto doi, e o quanto e absurdo. Que causa e esta que pode valer mais do uma vida, ainda mais em se tratando de uma crianca, que causa e esta que poe seu proprio filho nestas condicoes.... Se isto nao comove, e nao e capaz de parar uma guerra, que causa e esta, que valor e este....... ABSURDO ACHAR QUE A SUA CAUSA ( a guerra )POSSA VALER MAIS DO QUE ESTA ( A VIDA )!

hello I just posted a picture of a little girl attending carnival yesterday. This kid looks the dsame age than the picture I posted but their life are so different, and this is so unfair.... It is very important that you keepp possting these pictures that are hurting but however real. I wish to highlight you courage also in doing it. Geraldine

some indivuals may behave destructively towards others or may be wrestling with impulses towards violence but such motives or preoccupations do not necessarily throw light on the reasons human beings go to war or masacre eachother.
my question is would it be plausible to assume that the forces which account for aggression betwen groups/nations are the same as those which drive indivuals?

and a simpler one don't you find this inhumane scene disturbing and don't you agree that whatever the reason or explanation do not children like the one in this shot deserve a better life, at least away from aggression towards their very existence?

Hello Bogart,

Thank you for an informative picture--too sad for the eye to look at--but true in 2009 and earlier.

I guess those who decided to test these illegal weapons, and those who condonned their activity, can hold this photo in their hand in any public event---so their cruelty is never forgotten.
