Photographer’s Note
Young man in Nablus, on a peaceful early evening in May. Despite the daily humiliations caused by the occupation, the Palestinians in general seemed to me overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming, humorous and endlessly patient. My heart and every thought goes to them.

well done nana, great shot i like the light on the young`s man face also the way he looked at you full of proud, the proud that no one can take it from him even if they got F16 or guided missiles or smart ways to cover and twist the historical truth.
peace for ebery one

Hi Nana,
It's a plain and simple shot, but its timing is very much appreciated here. Unlike some people I do not believe, killing is an answer. And as far as killing children is concerned, there just is no excuse, not even children killed. To me this is a shot of humanity in times of madness. Peace!
Benny

Hi Nana,
Great statement in this significant picture.
The proud, but also friendly face shows that there must be other ways to bring peace in this region.

I would like to see too a picture of a young Israeli man and compare their expressions and attitudes. I believe they would be both grateful if the war could end soon and their people live in peace together. I hope one day this young man can be in peace with his own brother and start talking peace with the other side of the conflict.
This good shot can be a good starting point of a healthy discussion.

Hello Nana
How easy it is to impose our lessons on Palestine telling them ...sort out your mess.... We need to sit with them in their pain, acknowledge it. I think what aggravates the problem is the platitude of the rest of the world. Instead of healing them and sharing their pain, the entire world has humiliated them by ignoring them for 60 years. The Arab countries are complicit.
I praise the spirit of the Palestinian people.
Thanks for sharing
Kamran
