Photographer’s Note
Sorry about the quality of this image, but I'm posting it because it symbolises for me everything that's wrong in Palestine. The Isrealis not only chop down the Palestinians' olive trees to make way for settlements such as this one, but they also select the oldest and most venerable ones (Roman Olve trees)to place in the middle of the roundabouts around the settlements. To cap it all, whilst not maintaining the areas around the Palestinian villages, they deploy large amounts of money to maintain annual plantings on these roundabouts.

Indeed Symbolic and sad picture. It broke my heart ... these olive tree were planted by our ancestors since centuries and now it became a part illegal settlements of immigrants from around the world. They steal 85% of our water resources to establish such green and artificial environment …
I wish to see free Palestine soon ... it is enough!

I don't know what to say. The whole situation seems so futile. What's worse is that it doesn't look like anything's going to get any better. If there is a free Palestine, it won't have anything in the way of resources and will be a bunch of isolated pockets of refugee camps. I don't know how people can do that to other people.
Thanks for sharing..

Those Israeli b*****ds. Look what they have done. Just look at THIS !!!
How can anyone commit such a crime against humanity?
They even planted the flowers around that tree!!!
They even planted the palm trees along the boulevard.
And what about the boulevard itself?
Enough is enough.
Where is the UAL when we really needed them?
This obvious and visible act of Israeli' bestiality asks for revenge.
Where is my AK47? Where is it? And my explosive jacket? I have to go and fight for freedom with my dear friend, Mr.Kalashnikov.
Oooops...Almost forgot...Also: To protect women and children.
Did I mention a democracy? OK…Put a democracy on the list as well. As long as I have my dear, shining friend with me…I no worry. I no fear.
