The hill's shepherd, a photo from West Bank, East

Photographer's Note

I took this shot by my car on the road to Betlehem.
The sky's colour was amazing: even if was a sunny day, it didn't look blue. The desert closeness made it...as you can see!
The lonely young shepherd on the top of the hill looked peaceful and serene but the mood inside the wall was different...

its a lovely image. The composition is just right and the child's face leaves a strong impression on me. I think in B&W it would look very nice too!! because a photo like this has a timeless quality and meaning.

la composizione con il ragazzino di lato è perfetta e la vista così "agreste" e quasi pacifica fa pensare di essere da tutt'altra parte!

This is an interesting documentary of the herding tradition!
Besides, a good image too... Well composed and DOF nicely on the main subjects, blurring the dry grass in front!
Amazing thing is I can count about 10 sheep but I cannot see the head of one of them...
