Photographer’s Note
Just a witty one today. I managed to be in Oman for one their wettest weeks of the year. At the college where I was working, some recent memebers of staff had seen no rain since they'd been there. It's such a rare event that when it happens there's no drainage infrastructure to cope, so everythiong floods. The alternative route to the front door of the college to this was a set of breeze blocks stepping stones across the car park. One the lines I like from the front page of the local English language newspaper the next day was that "prolonged light to moderate rain fell in the capital Muscat esterday".

yes, colours may be pale a bit but this is fully justified due to the rare event that happened :-))
interesting geometrical "construction" made of the chain of women;
you western devil must have been looking like a hunter as few of them hide their faces from you and your camera :-))
(i know its supposed to be a cultural constrain but it happens quite often here, in europe, too; in fact - it still happens that women in rural poland tell me that the camera stills their souls)

Interesting note & photo. Same thing happened when I was in Jeddah some years ago. Latiff

Hi Richard,
A great humoristic picture. I like the smiling faces of these young Muslim women. The composition with the row along the pool is fascinating.

I love this photo! Thanks for the note as well. The smiling girls in the front really make the photo.

Hi Richard,
Excellent shot. I love the different expressions of the women, some laughing, some hidding, etc... The 2 men on the top left handside dressed in white walking on the street are contrasting with the line of women dessed in black walking around the mug... very interesing approach!
Thanks for sharing.

Hallo Richard!
A well seen and funny scenery! You show it from a wonderful point of view and the build up, the ladies at the edge of the picture - and of the "pond" works very well. A lovely picture!
Thank you for showing!
Greetings from Germany!

Nice capture Richard and for sure a good inclusion on the 'daily life' cat.
The 'procession' of the girls are well captured and disposed compowise.

Good Morning, Richard.
The title of this picture make me think about those last days in Oman and about the hurricane on Muscat region. It seems that the past few years were quite rainy in the Gulf, maybe a sign of global climate change...
In any case, I like here the smile on student faces and it reminds me the reaction of people when I had the chance to witness a rainy event in Nizwa, a few years ago... I like the way you composed your picture.
Thanks for sharing.
