Photographer’s Note
One or two more Omani landscapes, mainly since I thought the place was so unusual to my eyes. Practically all desert, in some places right down to the coast, as here. Really quite a wealthy place, with well appointed houses with SUVs found in all kinds of obscure corners. I've noted before that I find domestic architecture quite an interesting subject also.

Facinating. It is something very unusual to me - planning to head to Oman for some diving later in the year so hoping to see this wonderful landscape for myself. I love the contrasts in the colour and the clouds in the sky make athis picture for me.

even if it a mansion, there is an opulent loneliness to it. the lack of people and cars/trees make it even more so. the colour contrast is great and the details are fine. the sky and clouds add to the peacefulness.

most unusual finding...at least for our "european" eyes - deserted terrain and a villa which would be worth millions in europe...
superb picturesque view - white building surrounded by the browny hills and sand...

I dont know if Id want to live here. No zebras, arrows, subways or people! As a photo, this is highly succesful arcjitectuiral shot though. You could easily sell it to people who are not crazy using this shot.

Hi Richard,
Nicely framed shot. It's a modern building following local architecture traditions? As a contrast to desert I like the glimpse of palmtrees and sea.

Hi Richard,
Omani landscapes look quite fascinating...quite dry though..but I am sure the region is nice to visit. Pity one can't see the lake or sea a bit better, as the blue water contrast would have been nice.
Nice anyway though. Cheers, Léonie

Hello Richard,
Great light to start with, fancy villa placed at the best place, pretty and contrasting mountains, desertic landscape and clouds which seem to follow the pattern: I really enjoy these elements especially when everything seems to be so gray in ths season. Friendly yours - Izzet

Hi Richard, I like the clean lines here in the sweeping hills and the cubical white house. they complement one another in a way to make this an appealing image. A simple, but striking composition. Regards,
Ryno

Hi Richard - the owners of this house have found a nice little oasis it seems, so isolated, yet tastefully constructed and in a photogenic setting, that cloudy sky is also very attractive, not to mention rarely seen in thet climate.

The house is a beautiful contrast to the rugged lanscape. The image is very much alive, the suns reflection the side of the white house makes it stand out even more. Very nicely composed. Wow!
