Photographer’s Note
As you may have noticed from my other pictures, I love hiking. So, I was thrilled when I found out that there is first-rate hiking just on the edge of Mutrah, the part of Muscat where I stayed. Mutrah probably accommodates the majority of budget travellers in Muscat, but it doesn't feel overrun with tourists (or at least didn't when I was there). It is well-known for its souq and fish market and is obviously beautifully located. The walled city of Muscat, which houses the Sultan's Palace, is an easy walk of a few kilometers along a scenic coastal road.

Hi Becky! Another unusual place you find yourself! What are those rectangles in the foreground? Are they graves?

Hi Becky - wonderful view, I did the same hike but failed to get such a clean view, I confess I had a car parked and went back the same way after reaching the top, I know this path goes down to Mutrah on the other side of the ridge, great work, I will add my version to workshop.
