Photographer’s Note
This is another photo of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, Oman. The mosque was a great lesson in modern and islamic architecture. This is a hallway outside of the inner courtyard which houses the main prayer hall. There are corridors and walkways all around the mosque and one could spend hours just looking at all the tilework and marble, not to mention the carpets and chandeliers in the main hall. A spectacular work of art to commemorate the Sultan.
Each one of my photos of the mosque have a little bit of info not included in the next. Just trying to keep things different. I received alot of good feedback from my last upload of the mosque so I figured I would go with it.
Thanks,
John

Nice picture, nice colors and very sharp but it would be nice if you have one person in a traditional dress walking there...

John,
Pretty cool shot here - you framed your image nicely and the composition is exactly how I would have done it as well. Great colors and exposure.
Thanks for sharing,

Bonsoir john

Amicalement

This is very nice- good clean lines, great symmetry, nice framing. I can't decide if I like this one or your previous one better; they are both very good. Well done!

Though this one is your most popular of your set, I feel as if this photo is lacking in something. It feels a bit empty (perhaps that's why people like it), but for me, I find it less interesting than your other posts of this wonderful mosque. Regardless though, you have captured it well, with great symmetry and the reflection (you have great lighting in your photos from this day, what time were you there?)

Hi John,
I've missed alot of your photos lately, so am happy to be able to catch up. I really like this shot which has an abundance of repitition of shapes, shadows and objects as you look down the corridor. The reflection in the tiling is particularly good and adds a "spark" to the image. Nice one.
Cheers Grant

Hi John...I love looking at your pictures because I like all of them. This one is so clear and the composition is so good that it really makes most of the other similar shots on the site look pretty amateurish...Beautiful phtotograph.

Hi John,
those views are really good. Nice depth, tones and refelctions.
Maybe you should consider correcting the perspective in PS.

Poppeye,
Browsing your interesting gallery, with many good pictures, I stopped on this one.
I like this type of photos, arches, symmetry, emptiness.... you added a wow level of sharpness... and voila.. a great contribution to TE!.
Waiting for your 100th!!
cheers
Jorge
