The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Masqat, Oman is truly a wonder to see. The architecture is marvelous with close attention paid to the smallest of details. The morning sun on this day brought out subtle tones of cream and rose in the massive archways leading to the main prayer hall. Notice verses from the Qur'an engraved around the top edges of the archways.

Beautiful place. I would have included a bit of sky on the top and maybe have moved a bit to the right to have a better view of the arches. Do you have a close-up of the carvings? Regards, Yvonne

What a fabulous structure...and I like your off centre perspective which draws to our attention the different archways as separate elements to the edifice. The subtle colouring suits the subject and you were wise not to overdrench it with colour saturation.
Thaks for this.

The issue for your collection is how to move away from tourist photography into artistic photography. Patience (time), perspective (may need tripod help), and lighting (which often requires time) are your primary areas for improvement. You're using "great locations" to try to make "great art". But can you pull great art from boring, everyday locations? Or what was the one enriching perspective that no one else saw at this tourist site?
