Photographer’s Note
A month a go, Isa was selling his worry beads in Baalbek, he was so friendly, helpfull and sharing. Today the bombs and death boddies around him. I don't think he is smiling anymore. Probably all the shares is worried of future of his country. What hi did to deserve? The treat of life feeling pain coming from the death of his loved ones.
One month later I left him with his shining eyes..

Merhaba Cengiz;

No he does not deserve it. Neither does his country deserve to be overtaken by the minority Hizbollah who stirred up a hornet nest last week. It's a shame what is happening to Lebanon, they should have taken care of the southern part of their country sooner instead of Israel who is doing that now.

Bonjour mon ami Cengiz,

Beautiful portrait, Cengiz! Very natural, joyful expression by the gentleman on the picture, his eyes are the sweet side of life. Unfortunately the sweet moments for him, belong to the past. I think that each and everyone of us should do something to stop this tragedy.

Merhaba,
Harika..
Not konusunda yorum yapmamamayı tercih ediyorum...

none of us need to know what is really happining there or decide on who is write or wrong...we do not need to have sides to understand their suffer...some one who is not any different than you or me is under life treath, has to deal with bombs every day and tries to stay alive..that is all matters...rest of us can not just watch it from a distance regardless of the reason or the way to resolve the problem permanently..cease of fire shall be the aim for all of us...hope it comes very soon..

Dear Cengiz,
Merhaba,
This is a portrait of innocence speaking a thousand words .Unfortunately only innocent people become victims of the stupid wars ,while politicians dream safe and sound in their safe heavens .I really wish brighter days for your friend and humanity.
Regards and admiration Mammad.

Hi Cengiz,
This is what makes TE such a special place. Your image is a superb documentation of what changes a war can bring to our lives. I was reading with interest the discussion initiated by Roy. It is not for us to judge who is right or wrong, these are games played by people who need a war to stamp their authority. And countless people like him are innocent victims. I hope this unrest in the Middle East comes to an end soon.
With Greetings from India

An excellent portrait with good DOF keeping only the colors of the the OOF background to indicate the environment, and what a fine smile.
A very touching sad note.

Hi,
Merhaba Cengiz Afandem!
I was crying all night for the children of Gana who were killed by the Zionist Regime's Bombs. I have read in the news that some of the children were handicapped taking refuge in that building.
May God show the oppressors a taste of their own medicine.
Merci for sharing

nothing tehnical will i discuss this time.
But just shows what an amazing human being you are.
The pic says quite much ..but your words just accentuate it.
Whole world is paining in a way or other.. bloodshed and news headlines have become our breakfast table mates. What a pity.
But salute to that humility in you and that i see in the eyes of this person, who may not even know why the bombs were being dropped on him. He obviously had nothing to do with it all.
Huge respects

I hope Isa is happy with his family in their hometown. Same wishes for all Lebanese.
