Souq Sharq after Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

Souq Sharq, located on the seafront of Safat, is one of shopping malls in Kuwait which has a great seafront promenade. Souq Sharq's distinguished architecture, blending traditional heritage with modern technology housing a wide range of shopping and recreational facilities made it an important landmark in the capital and a must for shoppers. Shopping is probably No 1 leisure activity in Kuwait and having shopping mall on the seaside makes it even more fun.

Souq Sharq is also one of "must be photographed" locations in Kuwait. Nearly every photographer has photos from this place in his/her portfolio. We had some clouds on the sky today which is something that doesn't happen very often in this part of the world, so I could not miss the opportunity to capture it.

As I was absent from TE for few weeks, I'd like to take chance now to wish you all the best in 2009 !

Dag Lucie,

You're not that much here anymore and that's a shame because i really miss good landscapers photographers around here. Some have left the place and that makes us less in numbers. Seeing this is exactly what i mean. Long exposures, great light managment and most of all a very good composition with excellent perspective depth along the boulevard. The water looks like silk, truly wonderful.

Wow, beautiful shot Lucie! The balance of the lighting in this is really good, as the sky and the lights on the buildings seem to match each other in intensity quite well. Wonderful colour too, and a good, spacious feeling to the image. Great work, as usual!
